I can’t tell if this is cheating or not. Since I didn’t have the juice to put a proper issue together this month, I’m simply sharing a new mix I made for Dublab (through my day job at Heavy Trip). For many years, it used to be the other way ‘round: I had a day job at a public library and I’d spend hours there doing administrative work for the music festival I co-directed. Now I’m using hours from my music day job to fulfill my lil’ passion project. There just ain’t no other way to get by in this niche—it’s called ‘double dipping’, hun.
The mix actually didn’t even air on Dublab. I’ve been so busy lately that I failed to submit it on time, so this baby went straight to archive. Before realizing any of this, I wrote the following description for the mix:
This episode goes out to everyone who’s over-capacity. Everyone who’s tired, stretched thin, burnt out. This one is dedicated to the homies who need an auto-responder just to get through the day-to-day. For all those who feel trapped in the jungle of their inbox – we see you!

ICYMI, I started a donations page. All the money I receive will go back towards music (eg. purchasing physical/digital music, merch, concert tickets, supporting other music outlets, etc.). If you’re not able to support the newsletter financially (no presh!), you might also consider liking / sharing / following on Instagram.
ALSO, I started a ~*fun*~ tracking sheet that provides transparency on donations and spending. It also includes links to my Bandcamp + Discogs profiles. This is as much about accountability as it is an experiment in tracking my own financial investments in music over a calendar year.
I’m super interested in feedback / dialogue / suggestions. If you have ideas about the newsletter, want to share music with me, have specific questions / requests, don’t hesitate to get in touch. And please: share this newsletter with a pal if you feel so inspired!
Yrs.,
Andrew P.
